Punakha

Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan, is one of the most beautiful and historically significant towns in the country. Nestled at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, Punakha lies at a lower altitude compared to Thimphu, giving it a warmer climate and a lush subtropical landscape.
