Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Travel My Sikkim, we understand that travel plans may change. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms under which cancellations, amendments, refunds, and rescheduling are handled. By confirming a booking with us, you agree to the policy mentioned below.

1. Booking Amount & Advance Payment

  • A booking is confirmed only after receiving the required advance payment or full payment.
  • The advance amount is used to block hotels, homestays, vehicles, permits, and other services.
  • All bookings are subject to availability and supplier confirmation.

2. Cancellation by the Guest

If a booking is cancelled by the guest, the following cancellation charges will apply:

  • 60 days or more before travel date: 10% cancellation charges of total tour cost (service & processing fee)
  • 30-59 days before travel date: 25% cancellation charges of total tour cost (service & processing fee)
  • 15–29 days before travel date: 35% cancellation charges of total tour cost
  • 7–14 days before travel date: 50% cancellation charges of total tour cost
  • Less than 7 days before travel date: No refund

* No-show / Early departure / Unused services: No refund applicable
* Cancellation charges may vary depending on hotel/homestay/transport policies during peak season or special dates.

3. Tour Rescheduling Option (In Place of Cancellation)

  • Guests may request to reschedule their tour instead of cancelling, provided the request is made at least 14 days prior to the tour starting date.
  • Tour rescheduling shall be valid only after confirmation and approval from the Travel My Sikkim team upon receiving the guest’s written rescheduling request.
  • The tour can be rescheduled once for any date within 1 year from the original date of journey.
  • The advance amount paid will be adjusted against the rescheduled tour cost after deducting a service charge of 10% of the advance amount.
  • Any difference in tour cost due to season change, hotel tariff, transport charges, or permit cost must be borne by the guest.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability of hotels, vehicles, permits, and services.

4. Cancellation by Travel My Sikkim

Travel My Sikkim reserves the right to cancel a tour due to:

  • Natural calamities, landslides, weather conditions
  • Government restrictions or safety concerns
  • Insufficient number of participants
  • Operational or logistical issues beyond control

In such cases:

  • Guests may receive a refund after deducting non-refundable supplier charges, or
  • Option to reschedule the tour for a later date (subject to availability and company confirmation)

5. Refund Policy

  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7–14 working days.
  • Refunds will be made via the original mode of payment.
  • Bank charges, payment gateway fees, and service charges are non-refundable.
  • Refund amount depends on actual recovery from hotels, transporters, and vendors.

6. Changes & Amendments

  • Date changes or itinerary modifications are subject to availability and additional charges.
  • Any increase in hotel tariffs, vehicle cost, or permit fees must be borne by the guest.
  • Travel My Sikkim is not responsible for losses due to last-minute changes by guests.

7. Non-Refundable Components

  • Government permit fees (ILP, entry permits, etc.)
  • Peak season / festive season hotel bookings
  • Special category vehicles or last-minute bookings
  • Entry tickets or activity charges once booked

8. Force Majeure

No refunds shall be provided for cancellations due to events beyond control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Road blockages or weather disruptions
  • Political unrest or strikes
  • Pandemic-related restrictions

In such cases, refunds (if any) depend entirely on supplier policies.

9. Guest Responsibility

  • Guests must inform cancellation or rescheduling in writing via email or WhatsApp.
  • The applicable date will be calculated from the date of written intimation.
  • Verbal requests will not be considered valid.

10. Refund Disputes

  • Any refund or rescheduling-related disputes shall be resolved as per this Refund & Cancellation Policy, our Terms & Conditions, and applicable laws of India.
  • Jurisdiction shall be West Bengal, India.
